Dane Lopes Joins Everest as Head of Sales and Distribution

Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE: RE) announced today that Dane Lopes joins the Company as Head of Sales and Distribution for its U.S. Insurance Operations.

HAMILTON, Bermuda – July 14, 2015 -- Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE: RE) announced today that Dane Lopes joins the Company as Head of Sales and Distribution for its U.S. Insurance Operations.

Mr. Lopes joins Everest from Swiss Re America, where he served as Senior Vice President and Sales Leader for the U.S. Eastern and Southern regions of its Corporate Solutions division. Prior to joining Swiss Re in 2012, Mr. Lopes was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at XL Global Asset Protection Services LLC, a former unit of General Electric, where he was responsible for developing new client relationships and overseeing new business generating activities. Mr. Lopes joined General Electric in 1998 and held a variety of increasingly responsible positions within the organization. He began his career as a sales engineer at United Technologies. Mr. Lopes holds an MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University.

Mr. Lopes will assume his new position with immediate effect and will be based in the organization’s New York City office.
