John Modin is the Chief Executive Officer of Mt. Logan Capital Management, Ltd. (MLCM)
Since he joined Mt. Logan in 2021, John has strengthened the team across various disciplines including investor relations, finance, and portfolio management.
Prior to joining MLCM, John was a Managing Director in Citi’s Global Financial Institutions Group and Head of the Insurance Solutions team. In his role at Citi, John structured and marketed capital markets and loan products for property/casualty (re)insurers, such as catastrophe bonds, sidecars, equity, debt, hybrid, convertibles, letters of credit, and contingent capital. In addition, John has served as the Chief Financial Officer for two reinsurance companies. He began his career at KPMG in New York. '
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School. He has also been a Certified Public Accountant.
