Kathy Garrigan
Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer
Kathy is the Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer for Mt. Logan.
Kathy joined Mt. Logan as Chief Actuary in 2018 and took on the role as Chief Risk Officer in 2019. Kathy has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance market as a qualified P&C actuary. She has a demonstrated track record in reinsurance treaty and insurance policy pricing, reinsurance and insurance underwriting and reserving, financial and strategic planning, M&A due diligence and integration, and enterprise risk management.
Prior to Mt. Logan, Kathy was Senior Vice President and Head of Horseshoe Insurance Advisory where she was responsible for all actuarial engagements for the Horseshoe Group, and also served as a consultant for a U.S.-based hedge fund. Earlier in her career, Kathy spent more than a decade at Endurance Specialty Holdings in actuarial and underwriting roles of increasing responsibility.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Spanish from Rutgers University. She is also a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
