Role Purpose:

• The London Transactional Risks team is looking to hire a junior underwriter to assist the underwriting team with managing submissions and transactions in underwriting. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Join the Transactional Risks team as they underwrite Warranty & Indemnity, Tax, and Contingent Liability insurance policies
• Monitoring and managing submissions from our trading partners
• Meeting brokers and building relationships
• Assisting with risk selection by analysing and assessing risks for discussion with the team
• Reviewing non-disclosure agreements, non-reliance letters and other simple agreements
• Reviewing transaction documentation which will be relevant to the risk
• Preparing non-binding indications (quotes), policy drafts and underwriting risks
• Managing transactions in underwriting including participating on underwriting calls

• Training and managing our underwriting assistants

Qualifications / Experience:

• 2:1 Degree or equivalent
• Desirable: experience in the W&I market  
• Desirable: Paralegal experience in a corporate law firm or in-house/ M&A experience in an accountancy or tax practice or other due diligence provider
