Everest is seeking an experienced Continental Europe, Recruiting Lead responsible for the recruiting strategy and day to day recruiting efforts for our businesses in Continental Europe (Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands). This will require the use of business acumen and knowledge of the Continental Europe market to identify, engage and hire top talent in partnership with business leaders.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to): 

  • Be an expert in understanding the business and talent strategy 

  • Own local recruitment including attraction, sourcing, screening, assessment, offers, etc. 

  • Partner closely with Lead HRBPs, the Head of HR Integration and other HR COE’s to ensure cohesive process and strategy implementation for region 

  • Collaborates and fosters relationships with regional stakeholders for recruitment-related activity including updates, assessment advice, etc.  

  • Researches and develops effective sourcing strategies for the region, including new country recruitment requirements, routes to market, attraction strategies, DEI and market intelligence 

  • Build out pipelining strategies and talent mapping 

  • Conducts regular status meetings with Regional HR Business Partner(s) & other partners to present status of all open reqs and status for that region, market intelligence, challenges, etc. 

  • Partners with HRBP on situations/issues, which can include unique offer situations 

  • Attend business update meetings  

  • Ensures compliance with hiring policies including responsibility for employment contracts 

  • Supports global recruiting initiatives for the region, including inclusive hiring training, assessment tools, etc. 

  • Integrate the needs of the business into innovative and creative recruiting strategies that you execute and manage.  Own the end-to-end candidate lifecycle for openings in the Continental Europe region. 

  • Responsible for sourcing, engaging and screening candidates, talent pipeline development, interviewing and closing candidates, and negotiating offers. 

  • Lead the implementation of recruiting foundations, best practices, processes, and regulatory hiring requirements (compliance) for new offices, in partnership with other colleagues in HR, Finance, Legal and other business areas. 

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business, proactively build external and internal pipelines and share talent across the enterprise, utilizing sourcing technologies. 

  • Bring forward knowledge of the competitive landscape and collect market intelligence.  Use this knowledge and data driven insights to analyze hiring trends that will strengthen our talent strategy. 

  • Understand talent supply and demand dynamics in the countries of responsibility and help develop a hiring plan together with the business and HR, especially as we look to meet our growth needs over the next five years. 

  • Be a change agent and drive innovation.  Actively engage in projects and initiatives aimed at evolving our growing talent agenda and creating scalable processes.  Identify, use, and optimize recruiting technologies with a lens on how we can continuously innovate.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred 

  • 6+ years of relevant recruiting work experience 

  • Full life-cycle recruitment experience across 2 or more of our countries (Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands).

  • Experience with P&C and/or specialty insurance preferred 

  • Corporate recruiting experience

  • Prior experience as a full cycle recruiter for various functions 

  • Prior experience and working knowledge of an Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday strongly preferred 

  • Strong sourcing skills and proven ability to engage and hire passive candidates 

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to put together complex offer recommendations 

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within the company 

  • Ability to influence without authority and effectively collaborate with others 

  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment 

  • Proactive/forward thinking, sound judgment in decision making 

  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) 

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through 

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills 

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:  

  • Strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR in Continental Europe, including employment law & compliance requirements. 

  • Ability to effectively influence at all levels and inspire confidence through timely, thorough and accurate delivery of information, and creative/strategic solutions that address business needs. 

  • Proactive in making recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues. 

  • Proven ability to be resilient, effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues. 

  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize, strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to set high personal goals and work independently with tight deadlines and demonstrate proactive follow through. 

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.  

  • Incumbent should be analytical, and technologically savvy, with strong experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to grasp new applications quickly.   

  • Experience with Workday a plus.   

  • Strong experience with Excel desired.
