About the Role:
As Architect you will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and help shape the vision of our HCM IT team. You will be responsible for designing and Coordinating with a team of Workday integration consultants across HCM while ensuring the successful delivery of projects for our clients. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit with positive energy to drive to achieve results, a growth mindset, and a focus on innovating across new frontiers.
Responsibilities:
Lead Workday HCM design and implementation projects focused on the end-to-end deployment of technical system integrations between our client’s Workday system and their 3rd party applications
Working closely with project management and delivery teams to review and mitigate any architecture-related issues and risks during project execution and lifecycle.
Provide end-to-end solution and design details during Architect Sessions
Identify business critical Workday new features released (R1 & R2 releases) and demo the same to the HRIS & Business teams
Develop integration strategies and collaborate with business stakeholders/IT to design solutions that meet business requirements.
Lead Workday strategy across additional modules including Prism, Adaptive, Extend, APIs, and RAAS by implementing current use cases and adding new solutions based on business and/or HR objectives.
Collaborate with a team of integration developers and provide guidance and support as needed
Create/maintain architecture artifacts and documentation updating when necessary and communicating changes clearly and professionally.
Participate in business development activities, including leading proposal development, client presentations, and networking events related to Workday HCM Integrations
Provide leadership and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures for service delivery, including development of templates, documentation of best practices, contribution to the knowledge base, etc.
Requirements:
10+ years of Software Engineering and Solution Architecture experience including engineering practices, tools, and standards.
Knowledge of general SaaS architecture and related components in deploying SaaS solutions covering data, infrastructure, security
Experience as a solution architect on at least 1 full life-cycle implementation of Workday HCM
Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective
Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence
Hands-on knowledge of current technology standards/trends coupled with a desire to continually expand personal knowledge/skills.
Knowledge in Workday integration tools and technologies, including EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Studio, and Workday API.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to tailor communication to all levels of an organization.
Experience executing technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud-native and API Strategies.
Motivated, self-starter, who can work independently or with cross-functional, collaborative teams
Demonstrable experience in engineering solutions through the process of decoupling complex monolithic systems.
Experience in defining and documenting architecture and coding standards and best practices.
Experienced in development methodology (Agile / Lean, DevOps) and life cycle methodology.
