About the Role:

This Senior Exposure Management Analyst will support the Exposure Analytics and Reporting Manager in managing aggregations for all lines of business across Everest International Insurance, with a focus on both Man-Made classes and tool development/automation for all classes. For the man-made classes (Terrorism, Cyber, Aviation, Accident & Health, Marine Hull and Liability), this would include monthly reporting to UWs, ensuring pre-pricing aggregation analysis is completed for terrorism (with junior support), maintaining and enhancing workflows. For tool development, this would be for all classes at Everest International and the jobholder will play a key role in establishing and continuously improving exposure MI, working closely with underwriting, ERM teams, Group and regulators (including our managing agent, ASTA).

This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule of working two days remote each week.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Monitoring and monthly reporting of exposure data for non-modelled classes of business, including Terrorism, Cyber, Aviation, Accident & Health, Marine Hull and Liability.
  • Building and maintaining tools for these classes as well as Property/Energy/Marine.
  • Leading the data strategy in the team to ensure consistency and “one source of truth”.
  • Assist with building out GEM.
  • Assist filing returns for Lloyds (e.g. LCM / RDS), CBI, PRA and other regulators / pools.
  • Development, update and monitoring of RDS’s, including clash scenarios.
  • Provide post- catastrophe event loss analysis using both modelled output and GIS analysis.
  • Support global reporting by ensuring local data quality.
  • Assistance in the preparation of reinsurance data submissions.
  • Involvement in projects to continue to enhance and help automate Exposure Management capabilities throughout Everest International.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in an applicable field of study advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical skillset is required (e.g. Excel / SQL/ GIS / PowerBI / R /Python) (required).
  • Experience working in a catastrophe modelling / exposure management team (desired).
  • Experience of managing man-made aggregations e.g. Liability, Cyber (desired).
  • Knowledge of Lloyds regulatory returns (desired).
  • Strong analytical skill with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, including senior management.
  • Ambitious and inquisitive, keen to work closely with Cat & Exposure Management Leads to drive change in the Cat and Exposure Management function.
