About the Role:

The Finance Operations Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Warren, NJ  office.

This person will partner with teams across the Program Administrator (PA) and TPA team to execute on Premium, Commission and Claims reporting as well as  identify and execute on process improvement opportunities with embedded controls and deliver tangible value to external and internal stakeholders. The Senior Finance Analyst will be a process expert and act as a trusted partner to the finance leaders in driving transformational change and continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Updating and running databases/reports for supporting Month-end / Quarter end close financial reporting for Insurance Program business.

  • Preparation of schedules and tables for Premium, Commission and Claims reviews as per internal controls.

  • Support with monthly files compilation and Executive reports, dashboards, variance analysis and commentary.

  • Support Program Finance team in monitoring, accounting & analyzing data integration from UW applications on the Premium processes. Identify and resolve data issues and assist with reports to monitor movements against submitted plans.

  • Identify and execute on Data preparation, analysis & Automation using various BI Tools and technology.

  • Collaborate with IT and other members of the Finance, UW Operations, Claims team in finding the best reporting solution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on one or more fields - Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or other related fields of study.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • 4-6 Years of Experience in Data mining, Transformation, and automation preferably in the Insurance industry.

  • Advance level skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL and PowerPoint.

  • Proficiency in one of the enterprise reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).

  • Strong data mining, analytical skills and attention to detail to reconcile, resolve issues and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Ability to work with limited direction and take ownership to drive process improvement initiatives to completion.

  • Able to thrive under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills-ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • Peoplesoft, Oracle experience a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
